The Hawk Eye, Iowa's oldest newspaper, covered customer Kirk Beckman's story on Wednesday, October 13th:

"He bought a kit to build a CNC plasma cutting table, which he uses to transform artistic drawings into metal masterpieces. A drawing is fed into a computer to be converted into a cut path. The machine follows the path as the plasma torch cuts through metal up to a half inch thick. An electric arc combines with compressed air to do the cutting. Beckman has had cuts last as long as an hour or as short as a minute."
