Fabrication Department

Fabricator

Job Summary

Torchmate is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hard working fabricator to join our team. Under general supervision, the candidate will perform a variety of skilled mechanical tasks on equipment and will perform other duties as required. Job tasks include fabricating, building, and repairing custom machines.
Essential Functions
  • Building custom CNC cutting machines and fabricating parts while using mechanical and fabrication skills
  • The ability to fabricate and design critical components from scratch is a significant plus and highly desirable
  • Ability to learn product software quickly and operate software and CNC machinery proficiently
Qualifications
  • Must have at least two to five years of fabrication experience
  • MIG and TIG welding skills required
  • Lathe and Mill machining experience preferred
  • Tubing bender experience preferred
  • Must have working knowledge of a computer
  • CNC knowledge and CAD program skills essential
  • Knowledge of various power tools useful

Sales Department

Job Summary

In this position the right candidate will be responsible for CNC System/Robotic Automation sales and will ensure the company meets revenue and profit objectives.  This position will implement sales strategies while working with customers to select the appropriate CNC system/Robotic Automation.  The candidate will occasionally travel throughout the United States implementing sales strategies, while demonstrating various products to distributors and potential customers. The candidate must be aggressive and able to develop new business primarily through inbound and outbound marketing leads. Being a member of the sales team entails partnering with various team members within the organization to service our client and distributor groups with the highest levels of customer service and expertise. Applicants must have exceptionally strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, computer, and organization skills, as well as a strong desire to succeed. 
Essential Functions
  • Meeting and exceeding aggressive sales goals and overall objectives
  • Handle inbound leads generated from catalog, the Internet, and trade shows
  • Make 50-100 outbound calls per day from our existing database via phone, e-mail or correspondence
  • Approximately 75% of the calls will be outbound and 25% of the calls will be inbound
  • Process prospective customers into our database
  • Travel throughout the United States to meet with various distributors and attend various trade shows

Applicants must have exceptionally strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, computer, and organization skills, as well as a strong desire to succeed.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated junior/senior level marketing intern to join our team. Our dynamic work environment and exciting eye for growth present a terrific opportunity for someone to make a significant contribution in a highly visible capacity within our business. 
This individual will be accountable for managing and directing all marketing activities to help launch our newest CNC Machine.  Responsibilities include managing the production of a promotional video; creating, maintaining, and proofing marketing materials; and advertising materials to effectively represent the company's products to customers.   • Execute a marketing plan for our newest CNC Machine 
  • Manage the production of a promotional video for our newest product

Job Summary
Torchmate is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hard working Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting the manager in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the warehouse. Responsibilities include assisting in leading the warehouse operations and assisting with inventory control. Job tasks include building, sorting, packaging, and tagging
our products efficiently so it gets to our customers in a timely manner.
 
Essential Functions  

  • Assist in the leadership of the warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory, pulling/packing, inspecting, shipping and returns  
  • Maintain a high degree of quality management and continuous improvement in every facet of the fulfillment operation  
  • Assure the safety and security of personnel and inventory.  
  • Responsible for insuring that all jobs are completed correctly

  • Knowledge of UPS WorldShip and International Shipping required

Traveling Technical Support Specialist

Job Summary
The job consists of providing user support, training and problem solving for customers and sales representatives, ability to use troubleshooting procedures to isolate physical problems and/or operational errors, and identifying possible product failure trends. 
Essential Functions
  • Travel domestically and internationally training customers on how to use our product
  • Ability to learn product software quickly and operate software and CNC machinery proficiently
  • Convey training and troubleshooting advice to customers remotely

Responsibilities

  • Developing Inverter based Plasma Cutting Power Supplies and Plasma Torches in consideration of market needs and industry standards
  • Applying engineering and scientific principles in the design and execution of development projects
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of technical support personnel
  • Ensure product performance and reliability through validation and verification programs
  • Assist Manufacturing and Marketing team members as necessary to facilitate the manufacture and introduction of the developed product  
  • Interact with suppliers, customers, distributors and Sales Engineers on an occasional basis  

 Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a concentration in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering  
  • Degrees in other related fields with a background in Materials will be considered.  
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in Pneumatic Device Design Experience, in at least one of the following:

  • Gas Control Devices
  • Electro/Mechanical Devices
  • Burner controls, controller valves, etc
  • Compressible Fluid Devices  

  • Must be able to conduct thermal analysis  
  • Prior torch design experience a plus but not required  
  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of engineering and scientific principles, practices and procedures

Job Summary
